The wellbeing and safety of your pet is the upmost Importance to us.

Please carefully read the Terms and Conditions to ensure you are happy for us to groom your pet.

By having your pet groomed with us, you are accepting our terms and conditions.

 

 

1.COCOMUTTS GROOMING CONTRACT

You agree your pet is fit and healthy. Grooming of sick and elderly pets is entirely at the owners risk. Your pet is up to date with all vaccinations, an unvaccinated pet puts itself and others at risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin and health conditions that we cannot be held accountable for.

It must be Clearly understood and agreed that whilst every care and attention is given to your pet our first concern will always be the welfare of the pet. In the event of injury or illness a vet may be called. All costs in connection with instructing a vet including their associated charges shall be at the owners expense. We strongly recommend that you have insurance for your pet.

We reserve the right to refuse a pet that presents risk of injury to itself or staff. Under no circumstances do we accept sedated pets.

 

2.PAYMENT POLICY

We only accept card payments and cash payments. Payments will be made on collection of the pet. Prices quoted are only estimates based on an average of the breed/type.

Charges will be incurred for late cancellations, no-shows, matted coats, pets that are poorly maintained or pets with fleas.

 

3.FLEA POLICY

Please check your pet for fleas before their scheduled grooming appointment. If we find fleas on your pet, you will incur an additional flea fee on top of your grooming fee for a flea bath.

It is the owners responsibility to have their pet on regular flea preventative. CocoMutts cannot be held liable for flea infestations on pets.

 

4.MATTING POLICY

We groom humanely, therefor heavily matted coats will be clipped (shaved) shorter for the welfare of the pet following The Animal Welfare Act guidelines. This may dramatically change the appearance of the pet.

Clipping matted coats may expose pre-existing skin conditions. Matted coats highly increase the chance of skin irritation and skin tears that you accept we are not liable for.

There will be an additional matting fee on top of your grooming fee as removing matts damages and blunts equipment which will need to be repaired/sharpened.

 

5.CANCELLATION POLICY

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please inform us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time to give us time to offer the appointment to another customer.

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will incur a late cancellation fee.

 

6.LATE/NO-SHOW POLICY

Please ensure that you are on time to your appointment. If you arrive later than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, your appointment may have to be rescheduled which will incur a late cancellation fee.

Please pick up your pet on time, late pick-ups can affect the following appointments. Pets must be picked up within 15 minutes of their groom completion or there will be a late pick-up fee.

If you fail to attend your appointment without any notice of cancellation you will incur a no-show fee.

 

7.PREGNANT PETS

CocoMutts will not groom pregnant Pets under any circumstances due to high risk of miscarriage if pet becomes stressed. Grooming must be booked and completed before mating.

If on arrival, we find that your pet is pregnant, your grooming appointment will be cancelled, and you will incur a late cancellation fee.

Pets that have had litters cannot be groomed until their litter is fully weaned.

 

8.AGGRESSIVE & POORLY SOCIALISED PETS

CocoMutts reserved the right to refuse to groom any pet if we believe it may cause injury to itself or our staff while in our care. If a pet exhibits behaviour that we deem as dangerous to staff and/or other pets restraints such as muzzles or slings may be used or else the session will be stopped immediately.

By booking, you agree to inform CocoMutts of any previous history of biting or aggression. Your attention is drawn to the dangerous dogs’ act which holds owners liable for any injuries caused by your pet.

 

9.EXTRA CHARGES/FEES

Fleas £10

Matting £10

Late cancellation £20

No-show £20

If late cancellations/no-shows occur and the additional fees stated within our terms and conditions are not paid, we reserve the right to recover the amount via small claims court at your cost.

 

10.YOUR DETAILS

CocoMutts stores your personal data securely and will never share it with any third parties.

We may take photographs of your pet during their grooming appointment. Pets name and photographs may be used for our website and social media platforms for marketing. Photographs may also be used for evidence against neglect.

If you would prefer us not to share names or photographs of your pet on our website/social media platforms, please let us know at the time of booking.
